...also known as a bunch of WIP images thrown together with some waffling along about what i was doing at each stage. probably not terribly informative as a how-to, but i do like seeing a picture emerge from the initial idea! :D

I just found this, and like lying-star, it's interesting to see what's similar to and what's different from the way I draw.

Some of the differences in the way I do things are that I use Corel Draw because vector fits the way my mind works, that I sweat the details of perspective a lot more than you show here (I often have two or three non-printing "perspective" layers with horizons, vanishing points, etc.), and that I'd split up the visible layers differently. For a scene like this I'd have background and boat on separate layers, and each captive on her own layer (since they overlap). But I wouldn't separate swimsuits, skin, and restraints into their own layers.
